Default Anyone know of a book...

That's about this boy who's grandfather or father has horses (Paso Finos, I think or TWHs) and he really likes one of them and tries to train it and it ends up being sold and the owner shows it and sores his feet? I'm pretty sure it was a book I read a while back... Nobody seems to know what I'm talking about! Maybe I'm just crazy! I pretty clearly remember him lunging or long-lining the horse and it was gaiting and his (grand)father yelled at him because he said he might make him trot instead of gait.... Help?!

It sounds a bit like Danza! by Lynn Hall.

Also sounds like an old Disney movie( or even TV ) 'Cristibolito, the Calypso Colt" . Any of you "grey Panthers" remember that?
