Why, oh why, did you have to outgrow another saddle? How is it that you went from riding comfortably in your 15" saddle to looking pretty darned well fitted in a 16.5" overnight? Is it really possible that your most recent growth spurt could be enough to render your lovely saddle of 2 years obsolete overnight? And, my darling child, could you not have outgrown it BEFORE three other kids bought saddles identical to yours this summer? Sigh. I still love you.
Ha...my DD is in the same boat! We just bought her a lovely 16.5" Devoucoux at the start of this season, and her leg is off the flap now. To be fair, my child has freakishly long legs - her assistant trainer is 6'1" and does not have to adjust the stirrups to ride in her saddle.
I think we will be looking for a used PJ Pro this time around. Although she loves the Devoucoux....
My kid did the same thing! All of a sudden it looked like she was a clown riding in the 3" saddle. I think the funniest thing is that from Monday-Friday her stirrups get to short. Monday they fit, and then Friday her knees are touching her nose. Luckily the lengthening the stirrups is free, unlike the riding clothes, boots and chaps she keeps outgrowing.
My only saving grace is the fact that when the older one outgrows a saddle the younger one seems to grow into it just as quickly. Of course this also means there is never a saddle to resell to pay for the new one LOL!!
Clothes, chaps, and helmets are another issue, my 7 yr old is super tiny while my 4 yr old is bigger boned they wear the SAME size at the same time and seem to grow out of the stuff on the SAME day!!!! Now that is frustrating LOL!
