I think we all need a new dispenser of denial floss.

As to "rode hard and put up wet". I don't think that pmc's statement can possibly be improved upon.

Now just for my reference, this thread has added the following to the lexicon:

    denial floss
    HHH: unit of measure
Ho-Hoos: the hoo-hoo's of self-employed women with very low overhead.
Frozen Ho-hos: can't even imagine what one would do w... {blush} nevermind.
Fruitbathead: all purpose cuss-word to be used on complete idiots (and any of my horses when they misbehave).

    What have I missed?

Oh and I LOFF the gnomes for the dressage ring. I had been threatening to use plastic flamingoes painted in neon colors, but I have now seen the light. Gnomes and fruitbats are the way to go!
They don't call me frugal for nothing.

Well, it was all fun and games until someone turned the discussion to reeking hoohoos. You know, down here in the civilized U.S., we have hot showers.

Why choose? Use gnomes *and* flamingos! How cool would that be?

Oh, and those chili pepper lights on a string for riding at night...

Well, we'd have hot showers up here too, if the damn pipes didn't keep freezing. Do you think indoor plumbing might help?

Ironically, Snow White was a HoHo. Why else would the dwarves have been singing, "Hi ho! Hi ho!..."
