DH and I are trying to plan a mini-honeymoon this fall, looking into camping in the Southern PA area specifically. Having lived in Unionville for a summer I know that Fair Hill is not too far away!
Hubby wants to tour Gettysburg, I want to see xc day at Fair Hill! DH is even cool walking around a "horse show" for a day. For those of you around this area, what are some good camp sites that could be close to one or the other? We have a pop up trailer and hook ups would be preferred, though we can "rough it" if we need to.
Is it better to pre-purchase tickets for FH or can you buy them at the "door"? Other places that might be fun to see? We're thinking a long weekend (4 days). Tips for FH stuff, like jumps we MUST see or vendors with spectacular goods?
Easy to buy tickets on the day at Fair Hill, but also easy to buy online ahead of time (no price difference for single day ticket). The vending is in a fairly small area, so easy to see all of it. The crab soup is great.
