Default Book recommendation: Blaze of Glory

I bought this book for my niece a while back, and she loved it so much that I ended up reading it, too. It was a good read - written for older teens but still plenty interesting for a married mom like me (or maybe I'm just not that mature, lol). In any case, I loved that the horse stuff didn't drive me nuts, as it usually does, and I liked the spunky main character. She rides jumpers and, during the course of the book, also learns to play polo. It's as much of a romance as a horse book, but a very enjoyable read, so I thought I'd share it case there are others out there who are starved for a good horse-related story.

I only found the star wars story at the library. sadly.

Set in Canada - wonder (like Jilly Coopers "riding") if it is based on a real person and if so, who??!
