I own two TB/Connemara cross geldings sired by him, but after Googling my brains out (short trip - lol!), I can't locate any info on him - whether he's still alive & standing, retired - nothing. Used to be at Blue Ridge Farm in Upperville - at least that's where he was when I bought the TB broodmare bred to him with a Moxley foal already at her side.
I did find an advertisement for a 2010 foal sired by him, so am thinking/hoping he's still out there somewhere. Just wondering & would like to keep up with him since I have two of his boys.
I have a purebred filly by him that was born this year (http://www.brambleridgefarm.com/Maeve.html). His owner isn't shipping semen on him currently, he's serving as a teaser on her husband's TB farm in KY. He is still very fertile, and she might would make special consideration for someone interested in breeding to him. If you pm me I will give you her contact info.
He does have a stallion son that is now standing at public stud who is very nice too. Blue Ridge Monroe is standing at Cool Springs Farm in OH. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Coo...m/251196806403 He's covered quite a few TB mares this year, for prospective eventer type foals.
Thank you all for your info. I have no breeding plans at the moment, but was just wondering what happened to him, since he (& his former residence - Blue Ridge Farm, Upperville) seemed to have dropped off the planet. (Informative websites nonexistent.)
Good grief. One would think they'd put some sort of even basic info out there for those of us who have Moxely babies.
