Calling All ESDCTA Members! (crosspost from Dressage Forum)
Ever had a desire to see your name in print? The ESDCTA is looking for members to write articles for the newsletter. In addition to general articles that you feel are of interest to other members, we are looking for the following:
1. Are you a trainer who wants to get your name out more? The newsletter has a recurring article written by a local trainer that highlights a training issue or philosophy (eg, how to ride a good canter depart, why practicing your tests is important, getting the perfect distance, etc). It only has to be about a page long and we would love to include a picture and short bio of your accomplishments.
2. Do you have an interesting story to tell about how you got into riding, how you struggle to afford showing, or just how much you love your horse? Do you know someone with an interesting or inspiring story? Our Salute feature is a perfect opportunity to introduce yourself or someone else to the local equestrian community. You don't have to be famous, and can be a trainer, amateur, or even a youth member.
Not a good writer? Not a problem. We can either have someone interview you or help you polish your own thoughts. If you are interested in submitting an article, have an opinion about how we can do something better, or want to volunteer and give something back to your club (we need someone with Publisher experience), please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The one caveat: you must be a member of the ESDCTA.
