I am posting this for my friend (per suggestions by other COTH members):
Tristan, 15yr old, handsome, athletic & willing, 16.3, Gray Trakehner TB cross, gelding, well cared for and maintained – Free to a good home
Tristan’s – Work History & Experience
Competed in the dressage ring in Florida competing through level II.
Hunter Ring – 3’6”
Competed in Novice Division - Event
Trail / Road work
Jumper Derby – Novice & Training
Tristan has developed a bone spur on his right front navicular joint and should no longer jump. He would make a wonderful horse for someone looking to trail ride or be a pasture mate and have an easy keeper. He has too many pros to discuss and owner is actively looking to find his next home.
My own feelings on this horse-he is a lovely horse that has been maintained impeccably by my friend for the last 5 years. This horse was never suited for her and is not suited for a novice rider/horse owner. He is easy if you are experienced. He does have a spook, but it seems to only be sometimes and in the ring, he is an easy trail horse. There is nothing that this horse does that would faze a normal experienced horseman/horsewoman. She is looking to place him in a home and is not trying to sell him. There is a possibility that he could be put back into dressage work, but that would be something that would have to be discussed with a vet.
Horse is in the Rochester area and anyone interested would have to provide references. I can email pictures if interested. He is a very easy keeper and is currently on pasture 24/7.
