Where are the female riders in this list?

Probably within the realm of statistical probability considering the current leaderboard.

Sinead Halpin also received a grant, the Jacqueline Mars training grant, according to Eventing Nation.

Did riders apply or were they chosen?

I think Deltawave probably has a point--looking at the top ten riders, Sally's **** horse is recovering from an injury, Nina competes for Thailand, Hawley competes for Canada, and apparently Sinead got a different grant.

Why men outnumber women at the top of the sport is an entirely different question, though!

Yeah, they're going to Europe but they'll be providing meals for those hardworking men when they get in from a long day of competing! :-D

Maybe they're trying to give the men a chance to catch up with the women

    ^^This.

Really. Can't we find something bigger to get upset over. The stock market. The drought. Famine in Somalia. Riots in London.

Besides that, women get really irritable and emotionally unstable one week every month, and if not they are going through the big M (even worse!!!). I mean, who wants to deal with that?

Sorry, but the USEF is WRONG with this.

Can ya'll take a chill pill? We'd all like to see changes in the USEF lists every time, but we KNOW it's all about politics. There are much bigger fish to fry.

The picked the list by penis length this year, and sadly the women had nothing to put forth...But I heard breast size is coming back...

Just out of curiousity - who of the female persuasion do you think belong on that list?

What about Colleen Rutledge? I think she's done a good job this year, did she get another grant to go?

Half the horses are already in Europe competing in 4*s with very limited success against the top pros. Icarus and PD's horse have never run a 4*.

Where can we find a list of all the grants made to event riders since the last Olympics. Would the USEA have such? How about the USEF. One expects that all money spent by the USET Foundation would be recorded at the USEF, or at least one hopes that's the case.

Heck, I didn't know there was a special Mars training grant. Which body would administer it?

One assumes from the title of the Land Rover Grants that the USEF is expecting our 2012 Olympic Team to come from these horses and riders, along with others that it has funded

Sharon White was planning to take Rafferty's Rules to Burghley. She's female and would probably do as well as any of the less than top tier North Americans.

Had they chosen six women would you be complaining? Given that ours is the most equal opportunity sport in the galaxy it would be hard for me to believe this decision was sex..I mean gender driven.
