Default Another CL gem: this one's got it all

Misspelled version of the word determing the animal's gender? Check

Ridiculously out of whack height measurement? Check

Claims of "specialness" or "uniqueness"? Check

Can't figure out how he managed to spell "knowledgeable" correctly, when "filly" seems to be beyond his grasp.

"A young philly paint with a unique color to her. She is a very spirited pony broke to ride and quite knowledgeable under the saddle. Would be a great horse for junior rodeo or timed trials. She is two year and love to go on trail rides, she like new place and works really good in a round pen. She stand seven and a half hands high. And is a good child horse at a good price. If you have any questions or would like to see or ride this horse please call me ..."

    "seven and a half hands" = 30"

    Isn't this a VSE/mini?

"two year and love to go on trail rides"

    Hopefully w/o a rider.

Lemme guess. He's the same person in the "My name Peggy" commercial.

I should have clarified, since I didn't link the ad with the pics, but the "philly" was a very average size for a 2 y.o., probably 14-15 hands. She was not a mini.

She's from Philadelphia, then. Does she play for the Phillies?

She must have been measured by that crazy trainer in the ehow videos, what was her name, Sarah something. She did some weird thing with her hands to measure horses. Actually, she did weird things in all her videos

OMG OMG! i remember her! She was a total wingnut! Expert Village, right? I always figured she was just the Village Idiot.

Oh and i once had a guy tell me his horse was 14.5 hands. I told him, a hand is 4 inches. And he said, "that depends on if you're measuring long hand or short hand."

GOD I LOVED THOSE....they were terrifying. I learned a lot of things from her. Like how to put on all of my boots backwards...and when you're lounging a lame horse, nothing keeps them cantering like a dog chasing and biting at its heels. Yipes.

That'd be Sarah Stetner, the fabulous equine expert on everything from turning sweet feed into oats to applying "shin splint" boots to teaching the horse to lunge even though the horse in question, Rowdy, is close to 3 legged lame. Oh yes and measuring using the oft copied, never mastered "eensy, weensy spider method."
