DIETS! I see by my New Year's Resolution thread, that a lot of us plan to lose some weight. I've put all the names of those joined in and said weight loss was a goal, in my P.T. contact list. Anyone who wants to, is more than welcome to join in, and get and give support. You can P.T. me, or just says so on this thread. Let's see if we can stick it out to achieve our goals, and not give up after a week or two.
less hard work, more fine dining.

I'm low-carbing... lost 9 lbs since thanksgiving by cutting out all sugars and starch... keeping it to meats, veggies, small amounts of fruit and a few legumes.
10 more to go!

I started early, at the beginning of December and have lost about 5 lbs so far. I am not by any means overweight but I want to get back to where I used to be, and would like to lose another 5-10 lbs.
I am just doing portion control and trying to really stay away from sugars. It is hard this time of year, since our house is FULL of cookies/chocolate/etc but I find the less I eat it, the less I want it. I am also makign sure I dont eat more than about 1200 calories a day depending on how much activity I do.
I am also trying to wait as long as possible before eating, and "bear" being hungry, and then only eating enough to stop the hunger pangs. That has helped a lot.
Other than that, I have started doing some pilates. I only do it for a few minutes every day or every other day. It seems to be working, or at least its making me feel better!

Meh, count me in. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif I'm not overweight but I would like to lose 10lbs. (I also need to get into better shape... I'm OK riding-wise, but when I'm breathing a little after running up and down the stairs... LOL http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_razz.gif I blame school. There's no time for anything but studying (that piled on top of an x-mas break filled with cookies and cakes and other refined carbs certainly doesn't help...)
Perhaps actually writing it down will help me put my 'get in shape' plan into action. (I swear for the past week I've been saying "This is the last day for sitting around and eating cookies", and inevitably, the following day becomes the new 'final day', and then the next, etc.) (COTH is helpful for so many things http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif )

Count me in. Also can we add an exercise component to it? I need to lose 5-10 pounds but more importantly, I need to get in better shape. I need better stomach muscles to help me stay nice and balanced over those fences. Anyone else want to be my "Get Thee To A Gym!" buddy?
