looking for a good, reasonably priced attorney who specializes in equine issues.
    Any recommendations?

    Julie Fershtman

Even if she cannot represent you in your state, she may be able to refer you to someone. I have not used Julie personally, but know some who have and were very pleased. She also has written quite extensively about equine law issues. And, she's a COTHer!
A good horseman doesn't have to tell anyone...the horse already knows.

Might be a reason, never an excuse...

I worked with her to create a free lease agreement when the Pony Clubber across the street from Patrick's barn wanted to ride him. She was very thorough, listened to what I wanted and asked the questions I didn't know to ask in order to make sure everything was covered.

Here's an older thread where I mentioned her and someone else chimed in http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/ar.../t-286037.html

Just to add a bit of info- the breeder in question is located in Oregon and I am in Montana. I am mainly looking for advice and to see if we have a case worth pursuing.
