My youngest sister just started taking riding lessons at my barn and I've been finding them really interesting to watch! It's so weird seeing someone learning the basics, since I don't even remember my first lessons. My parents gave me money to buy her a helmet, breeches, and boots at the closest tack store and I had to drag her out of the store, (she's usually the one begging to leave).
She seems to really enjoy riding and grooming the horses, and of course I'm thrilled too. No one else in my family rides so I finally have someone to share my horse love with! Anyways, she did posting trot for the first time and she picked up the rhythm in 5 minutes. Her steering still needs some work but at least she has natural rhythm.
Anyone else have this experience with a sibling, child, other relative?
My sister and I have both been riding for 14 years but recently I have started getting nervous watching her show. I don't even get nervous when I ride but I hold my breath and feel light-headed when I watch my sister and even some of my mom's other clients ride. It's interesting, but I guess it is a good sign.
