Frosty would never make it that easy!!! We have to stare at that spotted ump of hers for a long time before she will give that baby up!

Looks like we missed Olivia. Not sure what time zone they're in, but dripping milk at 6:30p and it's almost 7p central and there's a BABY w/ her! Bummer!! If that's even her foal? S/he is runnin' and buckin' up a storm, rearing and jumping on mom. She's content eating her supper completely ignoring her kid's antics. What a good mare!

That is another mare. It switches every so often I guess. If you go to the main site for that farm you can watch the birth of that foal from the other night.

Ah, okay, that baby didn't seem like a newborn. Way too coordinated! Was cute to watch though.

But we did miss Olivia! She foaled a filly at 314 days.

And well, Frosty is still eating.

314 days? Isn't that premature? Is the baby alright?

Yes, but only a little bit. Owner mentioned being a bit concerned (320 and after is more typical), but the filly looks happy and healthy and was ready to come out I guess. Check her out on the cam. She's up and nursing right now... well she was... lost their cam connection.

Anyone know how many pages our Frosty post got to last year? Wonder if pretty girl can get us to break our record? I'm kicking myself now, I knew I'd miss Olivia. Set the computer down to watch some tv, work up this morning with my glasses on and all ... Re-booted their site to see a cute little foal ... Won't get to see any births this year as my girl will be going to my farrier's to foal out, but counting down the days till it arrives http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_smile.gif

Hubby is working hard @ getting the barn-cam thing set up for next year, anyone care to PT or email me to tell me how to do it?

Good Luck Frost, try not to keep us on pins and needs too long this year !!!

Frosty has heavy straw in her stall!

CSSporthorses, drop me an email. It is complicated sounding, but pretty easy to set-up.

Someone is in there checking her now, she must be getting close. I can't remember, do they wrap her tail?

I tried finding that, because I was curious, too. All I know is she likes to keep everyone waiting and I believe this is her 7th. I saw last year's after watching her for three and missing two.

Is Frosty sweating? http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...s/icon_eek.gif Could it be true? Could I possibly catch her foaling? I have to put kids on the bus in 1/2 hour so I'm sure I'll miss it... http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_rolleyes.gif
