    Default AQHA people, horse question.

Could anyone look up a horse for me? We think he may be pushing almost 40 years old. Send me a PM and I'll send you his name. Thank you!

A friend has an AQHA 39 year old gelding she had since he was 2.
She started him herself, competed with him and her daughter competed with him thru high school.
He has been retired now for many years.

    PM going your way.

Never got your PM with a name to look it up for you.
Guess you found it some other way?
Just didn't want you to think I was not following thru with it.

Sorry, that name didn't bring anything, but after 25, AQHA horses are considered dead, unless the owner reports them as still living.

You may want to call the AQHA directly and they may look in their older than 25 files for him:

I just did a look up on my 28 year old mare, I have not notified AQHA that she is still alive, and she is still in the database.

And in searching the name of a friends mare that was born in 1975, her name is still there, and on the same page is a horse born in 1955.

So, you might have the name wrong, or the horse was not registered? I don't think AQHA purges the database, as folks need to research back several generations to get information.
