I was hoping someone would have some more detailed information on the newer Cornell Lyme testing. My vet gave me the results, and of course the horse is positive. I knew this is 3 days of Doxy when he had super improvement
Anyway, based on the test results the vet felt that this horse is in the early stages of the disease. Does anyone have specifics to the levels of the OspA, OspC and OspF levels that indicate this?
I just did the Multiplex test on my guy. Mine came back with OspF positive values. It sounds like you vet just told you your horse came back with early lyme? My report came back form Cornell with numeric values for OspA, OspC and OspF antigens. My horse was positive for OspF, chronic, and had a value of 2532. Cornell's website contained more information than what was listed in the report; however there was a descripition in the report of all three antigens. Sounds like you should request this from your vet. (Mine came via email) http://ahdc.vet.cornell.edu/docs/Lym...for_Horses.pdf
Like your horse I am already seeing a difference after 3 days on Doxy.
