After 6 days in the hospital and living though a 106 degree temp, 78 heart rate, blood in the urine and severe pain she is out and recovering slowly. Her attitude is good now and her pain is gone. The vets could never really identify what happened. They thought it wasn't RDC because of the temp and the bloody urine. They sent blood and the urine sample to Davis for everything they could think of with 0 results.
We wondered if she could have passed kidney stones, but vet does not think so because of the temp. Her owner wants to put her back on the Pergolide, could this have contributed? I can't find any info on side effects for horses on Pergolide.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
