Default I don't want to share.

At a fabulous facility. Great care, hacking, people, the whole nine yards. The downside? Other people want the phone number.

I should be charitable and share my riches but I am miserly and want to keep my little piece of paradise all to myself.

    Is this really wrong?

Well, from another prospective. If the stalls don't fill, and the clients don't come the place could close due to lack of money. Then where would you be?

Been there, done that. It can be very awkward. The best excuse answer: "I try to respect the BOs privacy by not giving out her number--her phone would ring off the hook and she rarely has openings. She lets us boarders know when she has an opening that she's seeking to fill, and if that happens, I'll try to remember to let you know." And of course, these BOs almost never have openings and usually have a waiting list so it never comes down to letting the other person know.

On a serious note, even though I would like to be mine-mine-mine (insert evil laugh here), I am a grown-up so I do get the person's phone number and pass it to the BO, so they can call if there are any openings.

I've used the "I think we're full" line quite a bit in regards to my barn.

I don't want to deter business from my BOs, I just want to keep those who will detract from my piece of paradise OUT.

Well, I'd consider that having done your part. No need to feel guilty!

It's like having a good babysitter, let that # go and kiss your good sitter goodbye.

Why not ask your BO how they would like you to handle it. Would they prefer you give out their number or pass numbers along to the BO?
