MD trail riders- ongoing WSSC trails matter
Alcon- there was a meeting this morning, awaiting to hear what happened. This is what TROT Pres. Rob McNab sent out:
WSSC Public Meeting
Date: Wednesday June 15
Place: Auditorium
WSSC, Richard G. Hocevar Bld
14501 Sweitzer Lane
Laurel, MD 20707
Time: apx. 8:30 to 10:00 AM
This is part of a regularly scheduled meeting. We are told that the trail policy change is not an item on the agenda, but will be included in the General Manager's opening report. The public will be given an opportunity to comment either before or after the GM's report.
The only way to keep the equestrian trails open is if there is sufficient public support and outcry. Your attendance at this meeting is very important.
If you are a stable owner/operator or equestrian property owner near Rocky Gorge, you cannot afford miss this meeting.

BUMP.
Do you know if there's a way for those who did not attend the meeting to submit comments directly to whomever will be making the decision?

Tell us what we need to do to support the cause. We live in Virginia, but do go into Maryland (Little Bennett, Morgan Run) to trail ride. Those trails have been on my list of potential places to go.

Have you enlisted the help of the Maryland Horse Council? They are a lobbying group who works to keep equestrian trails open.

Update?
This is the only thread I can find about the WSSC trail situation. I was just forwarded this online petition:
http://www.change.org/petitions/rest...estrian-trails
In support of keeping equestrian access open. Can anyone update me on the status of this question? Thanks in advance.
I tolerate all kinds of animal idiosyncrasies.
I've found that I don't tolerate people idiosyncrasies as well. - Casey09
