Fly boots/wraps for the horse determined to remove them?
The stomping from all the flies is starting to do a number on my mare's feet. She's on a hoof supplement, I have a great farrier, I round out chips as soon as I see them with a rasp. But fly season has always been hard on her feet.
Every fly boot and wrap I've ever used, she removes within the first 5 minutes. Is there any fly boot or wrap that's harder to remove, while still being safe? Any boot that DOESN'T use velcro (she's a master at undoing velcro )?
Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated. I'd really rather avoid putting her back in shoes if possible, she's perfectly sound barefoot for the first time in years, so I feel we've made a lot of progress.
Tell a Gelding. Ask a Stallion. Discuss it with a Mare... Pray if it's a Pony!
