    Default Coolmax schooling/show breeches?

Now that i've officially started eventing and left the hunter ring for good, i'm in need of some new breeches. My rump has expanded since I last bought Tailored Sportsmans, and they're looking a bit pornographic these days.

    My wants:

-I may or may not do a recognized this fall, so i'd like something that would be acceptable there if need be.

-Machine washable. I don't want to be scared to get them dirty like my TS's.

-Must be lightweight or coolmax. I live in the south, and swelter in the TS's at shows.

I'm not about pull on vs zip. Coming from hunterland, you dare not show in schooling tights, but eventing seems to be more relaxed about that? I assume generic tan is the best bet. I'm doing my first training next weekend, but have no desire to buy dressage tack in the near future, so white seems a bit silly.

I would prefer to stay under $100 if possible. I have some grey pull on tights from Irideon and I love and some black ones from Tropical Rider that if they were the correct size, I would also love.

My personal favorites are the microcord fullseats by kerrits. They also have their breath tights, the channel rib ones are nice. I have a pair, but the full seat is not as comfortable as the microcord fullseats. Both are comfortable to me in hot weather, we had a very warm summer last year and I wore the same breeches for all 3 phases. They didn't get gross & sweaty and they're very comfortable. I wear them to the grocery store after riding all the time. They're also machine washable - and I put mine in the dryer on medium too - and they're about 2 years old now.

Default Not quite cheap enough for you

But I love the Ariat Olympia.

The fabric seems to be quite cool feeling and they are a flattering cut. They also come in side zip for the same price.
    -Painted Wings

Set youself apart from the crowd, ride a paint horse, you're sure to be spotted

I have a pair of the TuffRider Aerocool breeches - love them. They're very cool, and somehow manage to not create giant sweat patches on my bottom and thighs which I appreciate They come in both knee patch and full seat, and I don't see why you couldn't show in them if you wanted - nothing about them screams "OMG! SCHOOLING BREECHES!!" to me.

    KERRITS KERRITS KERRITS KERRITS.

    And after Kerrits,
    ARIAT ARIAT ARIAT ARIAT.

Kerrits makes AWESOME tights/breeches at very affordable prices (especially if you look on eBay, hehe). Just don't get the PowerStretch ones unless you want winter breeches; they're fleece lined :P

Ariat's got some AWESOME CoolMax lined breeches (the Pro Circuit line) but they look a lot like TSs, not sure if you want that or not. They ARE machine washable though, then line dry (although mine have all been through the drier a few times... oops!)

EDIT: sorry, didn't read the price detail. The Pro Circuits run about $270 I think... All Circuits are a touch cheaper. I got all of mine on sale as I stalk the sales on just about every equine website, so they were much cheaper.
I've heard there's more to life than an FEI tent and hotel rooms, so I'm trying it.

Equine Couture just came out with some Coolmax breeches (with a sock bottom as well!). I haven't seen them in person, but they do have belt loops. That lends me to think that they're more like breeches and less like schooling tights.
