Default Spinoff from photo rights, what pictures to use:

I was wondering why so many buy a set of pictures/videos to advertise their products and, not knowing enough about what is proper for that discipline, choose one that shows a poor performance.

Case in point, bad conformation pictures to advertise a stallion, a few frames of a reining horse bracing in it's stop, in a manner that would lose it points, a jumper with the rider way ahead or behind, or with badly hanging, uneven legs, a dressage horse in that second it inverted or went way BTV, etc.

If you are going to advertise with a horse doing something and intend to show your good judgment in putting out a very good product, would your advertisement not need to be a good product also?

Unless you distort the picture clearly on purpose, like the way too little saddle in the current COTH ad on the side here right now.

Because most don't know better and are happy with their pictures.

Or they don't have better ones to choose from.
