    Default Kids animated movies

Does anyone watch these? Bolt, Kung Fu Panda, Tangled, that type of thing. I would never admit it to friends, but they are just so cute! Some of the newer disney ones are really well done

I'm young (18), but I've always gone and watched these with an 'adopted' aunt, AKA my babysitter from 6 months until I didn't need her, but we still get together once a month for junk food and usually a movie. We plan on doing this for as long as we can!

Are we just weird, or do other people go watch these (without kids)?

    Hey!
I'm 60yo w/no kids & I go to see these movies by myself or with any friend I can talk into it.
Tangled was good - loved the horse in it!
    Have you seen Despicable Me?

I think it's great you are keeping in touch with your babysitter, how nice for both of you.
I have a good friend who's in her 30s - she calls me her Sistah

I have kids, but I watch all of them and ENJOY them. I even find myself leaving Sprout and NickJr on after they've gone to bed many nights. Better then getting old.

    Great movies...
    Despicable Me is great.
Absolutely hated Wall-E (or however you spelled it).
Shrek 1 was great! 2 was OK, 3 sucked.
    Hoodwinked is basically Kagamusha.
    CARS was great.

Some of the best movies are cartoons.

A lot of the movies do have a lot of deep humor the kids don't get (like in Shrek2 the think about the 'Suspect is getting away on a white Bronco'

They are good stories, no shame in liking them. And no need to hide them

Then again I am a nerd, and associate with such....many of them love animated movies.

However, there are many movies that are animated, but in no way child appropriate. Like Akira

Like what you like, and tell those who mock you where they can go and how to have a pleasant trip!

LOVE them! Lion King is my favorite, but I love most of them. Despicable Me was hilarious! And I don't even have kids... I want to see Cars 2 (loved the original) which is out soon. They had a lifesize Sally, Lightning and Mater at Charlotte Motor Speedway today...so cute!

I love a lot of kids movies! Cars, Toy Story, and Ice Age are some of my favorites. I still love the ones from when I was a kid - The Lion King, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast.

Last fall I spent a weekend hanging out with my four year old nephew and we watched How to Train Your Dragon about eleven times. Cute movie, although I started getting a little sick of it.

Not an animated movie, but I took the four year old nephew and his two year old brother to see Hop when it came out. It was adorable! I'm totally buying it when it comes out on dvd.

Um, I'm 30. I was visiting my parents last night and ended up staying until 11 because I started watching Bolt and wanted to see the end of it.

    It made me CRY!

I always took my younger sister before as an excuse when I wanted to see them in the theatre. Now she's 18

    I love animated movies.

If you haven't found them yet, the Studio Ghibli movies out of Japan (imported by Disney) by Hayao Miyazaki are some of my favorites. They include:

    My Neighbor Totoro
    Kiki's Delivery Service
    Porco Rosso
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
    Spirited Away
    Princess Mononoke
    Howl's Moving Castle
    Ponyo

Bolt made me cry too! I also liked Train Your Dragon and want to see Tangled. I'd been on a roll of enjoying animated movies until....*cue Jaws music*.....Gnomeo and Juliet. I seriously wish I could un-watch it.

Default how about some of the animated series?

My girls just found horseland on netflix. I bought all 4 seasons for 10 on a DVD and I find myself watching it with them. Awesome!

Now they set up jumps in my hallway, pretend their horses. The 7 year old just started jumping in real life, so they have really gotten hooked on them!

I love animated movies for kids. This morning, DD and I were driving out of the driveway when we discovered a rather large spider on the dashboard. We both freaked out and then I cracked up when she quoted, 'Well, Howdy-Do' from Madagascar.
I loved the clever music and lyrics in Aladdin, Mulan and The Little Mermaid, too. And Kung Fu Panda and Tangled, too. I think I'll go find a great kid movie to watch.

Kung Fu Panda 2 in 3d was amazing!

I didn't see the first, but it didn't matter. Great story for any age.
