Default Have fun and Google a Trainer!!

As many of you know, you can find out almost ANYTHING by doing a Google search. Want to have some fun? Just take the name(s) of well known Hunter / Jumper trainer(s) and do a search (especially those who sell horses and have an aggressive style of doing business). This will in most instances pull up public court documents that detail law suits...and that is where the entertainment begins. You will find wire fraud, misrepresentation and all other kinds of great stuff.

It is...after all...hard to make a living in the horse business with so many ultra wealthy equestrians and SO many trainers who do not have college degrees who have to really, really work hard to make a living.

Easy now...I am not saying all horse show trainers are crooks...

Actually, it IS really hard to make a living as a trainer/rider in the horse industry. Judging by your bitterness though, you apparently already know that.

I think you misunderstood the nature of my comment / thread as I am not bitter. Like it or not, the hunter / jumper trainers are an entertaining lot and there are some really good people in the business. It is the unsavory crowd that makes for good reading on the internet though!!

    This is weird.
Horse sense is the thing a horse has which keeps it from betting on people.

The OP strikes me as a bit sinister. Why go out of one's own way to dig up dirt or start trouble? Must be awfully bored.. I have my own life to worry about

Whatevs. Who cares who you google in the privacy of your own home? And having a bunch of court cases on your browser history moves the porn down to a lower position. If you haven't followed up on the OP's suggestion (not that you'd admit to that), maybe you should...

My point is that before you buy a horse from a well known trainer, you should Google his/her name. You might be surprised what you find (and be entertained in the process).

I dunno how helpful Googling someone can truly be.. I ride/help out a trainer that has terrible gossip about her on a board where these people got into like a gang mentality and started bashing her... and totally didn't know her side of the story. It's all really just gossip and speculation.

Hard to know what's real on the internet and what isn't.
