Smile had to share. look at that eye!

Flipping through pictures of riders I knew from a show last weekend, came across this guy (I don't know the rider).

Holy cats! If you click there are 2 more, and he has 2 OF EM! Anyone else seen anything like this? It looks like pink skin for the left eye (later picture) and black skin for the other... but on a grey horse?!

Cool! It looks like he's got eyeliner on the one eye!

It's just his blaze. It goes over his left eye, but not over his right. If you look closely, you can see the line.

    Very neat looking, though.

It's startling to look at-- but pretty, IMHO!

Holy cow, that caught me off guard! Pretty neat after I got over the shock, though!

I think if you saw the horse wet you'd see pink skin in other places on the body - looks like a grey paint (or pinto) to me.

It is very startling and unexpected, though!
My horse is a dressage diva so I don't have to be.

I agree with the paint/pinto, but wow, that is VERY eyecatching. A little spooky.

Wow that is cool but for some reason when I look at the horse I think Appaloosa. Not a clue why since I cannot see any sclera(sp) or the striping on the hooves and that tail looks pretty healthy. I'm inclined to agree with the paint theory but we have one here in the barn and you can clearly see her markings and she's about the same grey as this one.

Thegrey welsh pony I had as a kid had two blue eyes with a big wide blaze under his white hair. With that he also had a very pink muzzle prone to sun burn! I recall the eyes being referred to as "glass" eyes. Very much like a Siberian Husky.

It's probably a paint, or a crop out paint that we see more and more of in WBs. It's hard to tell if your grey is a paint unless it's wet.

I think it's very stunning, but it is a bit spooky.

There's a horse near me that is a big black/dark bay with blue eyes (not glass colored like this guy though). It's very striking, although the horses large, forward flopping ears take away from the over picture

I'm just thrilled I'm not the one who has to keep this horse clean.
Life would be infinitely better if pinatas suddenly appeared throughout the day.
