Eagle drops dog
On the news is a story about a blonde little dog being dropped from the air by an eagle (or similar). Poor little thing had been a stray it seems and needed some tlc, but said they needed to raise $4,000.00 for dental work (Gulp).
I can't spend that on my own family. Our greyhound had a putrid mouth and after three teeth cleanings and several exctractions, the decision was made to take out the remining teeth. She has no teeth, eats just fine, her health and coat and weight have improved.
Can't magine why they can't do that to this little thing.

It probably has a broken jaw from the fall.

Is this the story?
If it is, she was a stray and already had decaying teeth.

Talk about a lucky dog! No doubt many people will be lining up to adopt her!

I hate when rescues raise thousands dor ONE dog with serious health problems or injuries. Why not PTS the one dog and help hundreds of healthy dogs?

I agree with you, but this particular story is so surprising and interesting that the free publicity they're getting out of all the news outlets is probably worth fixing the little dog.

I agree, pull the teeth and put her on wet. I don't get how they think she's been wandering the streets, but her claws have grown into her pads???? Sounds more like she lived, neglected iin someone's backyard, from which the eagle snatched her.
Cute little mutt

She landed in Sechelt, BC - all the more amazing because she landed in someone's yard. This area is along the coast and is a very narrow strip of habitation along one coastal road. All the rest is forest - or sea.
Amazing she didn't get killed from the fall. Anyway, on tv she was the sweetest, happy little thing. Still - $4 grand for teeth. My greyhound is just grrreat without her putrid teeth.
