Default Southwestern PA farm real estate

I posted this once before but now certain things have happened where I guess I really need to start looking for a small farm.

Two or three times the computer has been overhauled means all of my real estate links are gone and I have to start rebuilding them again. I searched out my last thread and one of the links I was given before- pahorsemall - doesn't exist anymore (too bad, it was a good one). farmanddairy.com doesn't have anything and landandfarm.com has farms everywhere but where I want to be.

So any suggestions for the New Castle area of PA - Lawrence, Butler, Mercer or even Beaver or Washington counties... I'd just need around a 10 acre place, barn, house and hopefully fenced and I need help finding one. Any suggestions or a shove in the right direction most appreciated.

    Thank you!

wesellhorsefarms.com is a website that covers those counties but usually does not have a whole lot listed.

pittsburghmoves.com is a mls search that sometimes has farms listed.

    Try
    www.realtor.com

It searches different types of properties all over the country.I used it to keep track of real estate prices in the Pgh. area when my mother's place was on the market.

Good old Howard Hanna and Remax list farms. Warning: you will find everything from prefab houses on 10 acres to 6 bedroom homes with pools and 10 stall barns on 25+ acres listed. There's a wide range of horsie/horsie potential properties north of Pittsburgh. The places you have listed may run on the cheaper end, as they are more rural than places like Allison Park or Sewickley. That is not to say I've never seen super nice places listed in Beaver or Butler though.

Very strange... the other day pahorsemall.com didn't work but today it does. Thank you! And thanks for the other leads. I didn't know Howard Hanna would do farms but I'll check them all out. I've already found one that may work (farm)... not necessarily long term but enough to be temporary solution. Bonus, it's in an area I like.

Also, if there is a good equine property person in the area. You might ask if they know of anyone "holding" until the market gets better. You may have to pay a bit more but be able to find what you're looking for.

    Good Luck!

A friend may have come up with something for me and in a good area (bonus that it's an area where I know my way around :lol ) so fingers crossed. I should know more this week and then I'm going to pop down there to take a look.

Excited and scared all at the same time.

Thanks everyone for your help. It's at least given me something to look at while I go through some really tough issues.
