Default Good Repro Vet in WNY

I'm looking for a good repro vet in Western NY (Buffalo area), but willing to look a little further.

Just flushed about $1500 on one AI attempt with FCS. I love my vet, but it's not really her area and in order to convince husband to continue, I need to speak to someone that really knows what their doing and give him some figures. At this time he'd rather take the loss than put more into it. Ideal situation would be someone with facilities to track her/ultrasound her regularly - she does not show in heat.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

What about Springville? They do all the repro stuff for Strawberry Banks.

Springville has one vet that I would consider, but Springville does not have any facilities where they could track her or have stocks to work on her and they are also very unreliable, not something I'm really interested in dealing with if I'm ordering semen and they can't show up until the next day if at all.

Dr. Joe Tashjian does all of Strawberry Banks' work and he is outstanding and just a super nice guy. In my experience there, he was never unreliable. Of course, he is there a lot during breeding season!
Good luck convincing your husband, I hear you with that problem!! I bred one mare 5 times over 3 years before I finally took her to a repro specialist who deals with problem mares and she got in foal. My husband was fit to be tied!! Lol

You could check with Ledgewood or even Genesee Valley but beyond that can't think of anyone with the kind of facility you are looking for...

paintmare, my mare didn't show heat either. In fact, I had my vet out a month+ prior to when I planned to breed her to check her over to make sure everything was in working order. He was USing her and asked when I planned to breed her. I said "oh, in a month or so." He said "how about tonight?" She was darn near ready to ovulate, but you never would have known. He came back a couple weeks later on a Monday or Tuesday to find she was developing a follicle, gave me chorulon to inject Friday, bred her Saturday with one dose of fresh cooled, and my filly was born two weeks ago.

He doesn't have a clinic, but my one breeding experience couldn't have been better. He's based in Gasport, I'd be happy to PM you his contact info if you're interested.
