Default You know, that moment when you realize your horse is *seriously* good...

ok, this is a shameless "proud mom brag" moment, I freely admit it. Now I always knew my little mare was talented, and she's adorable, fun, and I love her to pieces. (I got her last August barely green broke, she's 5 now). But during our ride yesterday morning, she just stepped up to totally working with me and - OMG - she felt SO amazing. She is the most FUN and EXCITING horse I've ever had the opportunity to ride (and while that may not hundreds, it did include some seriously nice, well trained and expensive ones ). I know that lots and lots more work needs to be done, and tomorrow she might feel like being a baby again, but the glimpse of her real potential makes me just want to dance with joy

Yes, I know the feeling. I too have a five year old that feels that way.

I've had those. Congrats, that's awesome!

Embrace it - that feeling that this horse has more potential than any horse you've ridden, and it's all there just waiting to come out. And that YOU, YOUR WORK, and YOUR RIDING are enough to get you glimpses of it - so you're clearly doing something right!
My horse is a dressage diva so I don't have to be.

Sure do...it's usually a split second before I realize he also can be seriously bad!
