Default Reccomend your wash stall heat lamp!

We are building a barn and are in the final stages. I really want a strip type infared heat lamp in each wash stall for chilly days when bathing is needed. My DH seems to think that they will cost at least a thousand dollars! Say wha??? I think he is mistaken. I hope he is mistaken. Where did you get yours and how much did they cost? DH is an electrician.

    Pretty much horse heaven

I look forward to the responses on this. We ate building as well and the builder is putting in spotlights with heat lamps on the four corners of the stalls, 9' up. Haven't seen a good discission of hearing elements to know if his standard set-up is the best way to go.
    Hindsight bad, foresight good.

I just looked up the Kalglo brand and the heaters they
suggest for wash racks are $200-$300 range. You can
show the DH by googling Kalglo and selecting a vendor.
It is going to cost some in addition to purchase of the
unit to put in the necessary wiring and switches and
it is going to cost a pretty penny to run the thing.
