Default I'm surprised this hasn't come up yet: I need a name for my new kitten!

Kitten is a gray male, very spunky and devious haha

I like Phineas currently. Any ideas from yall?

Be patient. He will name himself soon enough.

Sooo CUTE!! (I am no help).
Every one of them had that look of a girl infatuated with horses, the happy, fated look of a passenger setting sail on the Titanic.

    Default Phineas is cute

but I agree that he will name himself soon enough,
When I got my two, brother and sister, I wanted to name them Simba and Nala. I decided to wait a bit, and came up with Malarkey and Little Miss Muffett. After 18 years Muff still walks around on her toes with her tail held aloft. She sleeps only on pillows and is very much a queen. I vote to let him name himself.
[unless you just can't help it!]

Yeah I'm giving it sometimes to see if anything else comes to mind. But, I don't want a common cat name like smokey or boots, etc

He's a cutie. Looks a lot like my Stinkerbelle- who most definitely named herself.

    What an adorable boy!

It's my experience that cats will name themselves, and that given a choice, prefer elaborate formal names, but will respond to a shorter 'house' name.

My two sisters are Doctor Lily Mausflinger and Daisy Puff, the Princess Aquaboots - but allow family to call them Lily and Daisy.

    Agree - no common names

A friend named his gray cat Dorian.
Took me years to catch on to that one.

I love brown tabbies.......but it's a good thing I am coming late to the party as my naming skills are, well, pretty bad. Named one Spots because as a kitten, she had three nice white spots on her tail, they are now random white hairs.......but not bad for someone who came up with the imaginative name of Tippy for a cat with a white tip on his tail.

Over the years, every cat I've ever owned became know as "kitty" so I decided to make my life easier and now I name them all "kitty". The only one who seems confused is my vet!
