Head tossing "IS" a baby thing and I sure don't want to bash whomever currently owns this youngster BUT I see some unsoundness. If you really watch the first turn to the right there is an obvious lameness that makes you really look for more. Just my opinion.

Is it just me or does he look a little funky in the right hind? It could totally just be me seeing things...I can find lameness where there is none sometimes.

He's a really cute mover and I love his coloring! I think he'd do well on the b circuit! What division are you eventually hoping to have him do?

ETA: I read the post before me. That's exactly where I saw it too. Glad I'm not seeing things again

First, VERY cute horse and cute mover! Second, I see no unsoundness, he is a young, unbalanced youngster that has some difficulty with smaller turns. Is this something you just bought? Asking because I did not think posting "For sale" videos was allowed.

Doesn't look unsound to me, just doing the anticipating the canter from the trot that a lot of younger horses tend to do. Really doesn't have anything to do with its head either.

I'm not sure you can tell that from this video. Between the head tossing, the posting of the rider and the distance, it is hard to say that horse is unsound.

Gorgeous. Nice mover ! And color, to boot, too. I think he is sound and just traveling like a green horse does.

Thanks, appreciate the comments! I too was a little leary of the video but went to see him in person (and a year later, that video is a year old) and he looked wonderful so Im not concerned. I think the footing in the sandring was really deep and again, he was just turned 3 in the video so Im hoping its more due to unbalance and bumpy footing.

CBoylen, you are probably quite right. Bad video, young horse. Best of luck with your new purchase Squishy. Please update with a better video when ready.

I didn't see any unsoundness either. The head-tossing looks like the kind that is due to flies (saw some fly-induced tail-swishing too). He's absolutely darling, congrats and good luck.
