So, my little Squeaky Tiki man has some swelling on the right hock. There is a little bit of heat there, and a small scabby boo boo that does not appear to be a puncture. He's been in for the last 2 days due to bad weather. I took him up to the ring and walked him for about 10 minutes; not lame. Trotted both directions for about 10 minutes; not lame. Does this seem like something I should lightly work to encourage the swelling to go down? I cold hosed for 20 minutes and painted with DMSO/Cortisone afterwards. Swelling is limited to around the inside of the hock joint, and does not radiate down the leg.

It's the right hind, right around the inside of the hock joint.

Hopefully not serious. Like I said, he's sound on it. So, good idea to work lightly until swelling goes away, or leave alone?
