Default Pony / rider size fit

Curious to know what the public sees as an appropriate fit of rider to smaller horse/pony.

Is this pair a good fit size wise?

I know it is far from perfect riding, BTW

I think they look like a good fit. I ride a pony, she is a wide Haflinger and takes up my whole leg. She is in my profile pic.

That's my kind of pony (Morgan)! Looks like a well-matched horse and rider.
At least she is getting a response from this pony. That's what I consider a good fit.

I have no problem with that.

Pony would look much better under me.
Really, the pair looks quite appropriate.

Thank you for your comments. I am glad of such positive reviews.

SuffolkRider - although morgans are great, this critter is not one of that breed. Good guess though

I don't think there is a size problem. Didn't watch the entire video but why was the trainer using a whip on the horse? I just seemed to irritate the horse. Perhaps I am ignorant?

Seems I going to be the lone vote of dissent here. I think while the rider is very effective, she's tall enough and long legged enough that she would look better on a taller bigger horse. She doesn't look bad on this pony/small horse, but she would look better IMHO on a bigger mount.

I think for visual looks she's too tall in the body for this pony. Leg vs barrel is better.

But i by no means think she's to tall for this pony. it's just a looks thingI'd also hate to jump that LOL which is why i refuse to jump my current boy- way to much jup and not nearly enough neck vs MY upper body

I think they look great. Yes, the rider has a long leg, but this pony seems to take it up well. What a nice pony! Looks like he really enjoys his job!
