    Default rounded front draw reins?

Without getting into a discussion about whether or not someone should use draw reins does anyone know where I can find rounded front draw reins?

I bought them from Dover several years ago, and I love them!
I need to replace them, but Dover's site not longer carries them.

I tried googling, but no luck. Anyone seen them anywhere?

I get mine from Devoucoux http://phillipdutton-devoucoux.com/p...products_id=44

Antares also makes them buy they're not the right length of rope in my opinion.

There is also a knock off, brown $20 range. Call The Farm House. But they are loooong. Only good or very large or very long necked horses. Although I had a pair cut down for $20 and still cheaper than the $170 Devououxs.

I was hoping for ones that are all leather.
I'm going to call Dover, maybe they have some somewhere.
    Thanks!

CWD makes ones that are not all leather, but the rope part is black so not as noticeable as the devocoux ones.

They're very much like the ones with nylon, except the rounded front is leather.
This is a very small picture of what Im looking for:

Apparently Dover is discontinuing them, and had them on closeout. The person I talked to checked inventory in the stores, and they are sold out company wide.
Guess I'm out of luck, thanks for the help though!

someone in driving recently suggested this site and I noticed the draw reins http://lasalleharness.com/

fully leather and rolled front half

you have to look under index, then reins, ground/draw... the site is goofy and doesn't allow me to link to the right page for you.

I have been looking for the draw reins that had a roller/ pulley system so the head had more freedom side to side.

I've seen those, but I didn't really like the color way too light. Thanks for posting though :]

    Default Thank You!

I had the almost identical scenario. I had purchased the draw reins from Dover a decade ago as a gift for someone who was kind enough to let me borrow them over the years. Unfortunately, they are moving away and somehow think they should be able to take the draw reins with them! I wasn't able to find what I wanted at any of the my regular online tack retailers. This thread was the first (and only, though frankly, I stopped looking) place that I found with some good information to help me replace them. I've made the purchase from LaSalle in RI. Haven't used them yet, but the riding draw reins seem good quality.

Thank you ericalynn89 for the question and buck22 for the response!

I believe Gary Mundy (the stirrup leather guy) makes rounded front draw reins and will make them to your exact specifications.
