Default Strongid then what??? (for pony)

At my vet's suggestion I switched from pasteworm rotation to Strongid in January.

Now that it is Spring I want to worm for bots & tapeworm.

I know I can give the horse Moxidenctin/Praziquantel (Quest Gold for example) but don't want the pony to get the Moxidectin.
Equimectrin will treat for bots but what can I give pony for tapeworms?

    Ponyowners:
if you use Strongid what do you use for Spring?

If you can only give ivermectin by itself, then you can also do a double dose of pyrantel pamoate (ie Strongie) for the tapes. DOUBLE dose.

But yes, Equimax, or whatever your equivalant is (in CN it's a "...Gold" brand - Eqvalan Gold?", will do the same thing if your only concern is bots AND tapes.

Since you mentioned Quest Gold - where are you? That's not a US brand. Just curious. I know a LOT of people who would just about kill to import moxidectin/praziquantel, since our Quest Plus is not currently available!

Pfizer bought it from Ft Dodge (or other way around, can't ever remember), and there were then contractual issues, or some such nonsense, with ingredients and suppliers.
