Default Weekend Getaway in driving distance from Lexington, KY?

Exactly what the title says! DH and I are looking for a cool place to drive to for a romantic weekend just the two of us. Currently looking at both the Biltmore and The Greenbriar but wouldn't mind something a little more cost effective!

Chattanooga is a 4-5 hr drive, and it's a beautiful drive even on I-75. There's lots to do, both outdoors and in, lots of restaurants (some really really good ones too), and many places to stay from really ritzy to moderate. It's a neat little town to walk around, there are river tours and battlefield tours, state & national parks, overlooks, museums, a great aquarium, some fun and weird little shops.

Nashville is 3 1/2 hrs. Louisville has Conde Nast's #1 rated hotel (21 C). Cincinnati has a great art gallery and lots of good restaurants on the river. Gatlinburg is close - never been, but it's supposed to be very pretty even if touristy.
