    Default Semi-permanent eyeliners?

I am not blessed with overly long, thick, dark, beeeeautiful lashes. Medium, average and beige are better descriptors.

I am also not interested in wearing mascara daily, esp not at work, and all I wear is a quick dash of eyeliner. However, the eyeliner deserts me well before my 12 hour shift is over and I'm left once again looking a little, well, not-eye-lined.

Anyone use any of the purported "semi-permanent" eyeliners? Of the Web sites I've been trolling lately, most seem... less like Maybelline and more like Tweeny Hell. This one has good reviews...but hmmm.

never heard of such a thing. How long are they supposed to last?
for some reason my eyelids produce helluvalot of oil throughout the day, and 6 hours into eye makeup wearage it's all sliding off my face!

I love the Indelible Eyeliners shown at the top of this page:

    http://www.studiodirectcosmetics.com...s/eyeliner.htm

They also have Indelible Eyeliner Pencils, but I like to use the small pots of eyeliner with a brush. Both products work very well for being outdoors all day for me.

Petstorejunkie, most are "smudge-proof" but some are more like stains, such as the one I posted above. One of the reviews, someone complained that after she washed the black eyeliner off that night, there was a grey line on her lid. Sounds exactly like what I want. I'd want permanent if I weren't afraid of the artist screwing up, so this sounds good.

I highly recommend getting a permanent tattoo! I had it done and LOVE it. NO more eye makeup and I always look made up, even coming out of the water. Wish I would have done it years ago.

I don't know about you all, but smudge proof waterproof never was for me!

Wow. I always thought you were a guy!

Wait. Maybe you are. Hey, I'm not knocking it!

On a serious side, how'd you pick a cosmetic artist?

A friend had her eyes tattooed as well , her's was done free as she allowed them to video the procedure to use as an ad. She has quite a few tattoos so was not squimish about it.
It looked great on her, she had black hair so black eyeliner was perfect for her. I like it, but like all tattoos I wonder what they will look like when people are over, say, age 60.

Generally lines blur as the tattoo ages, so I imagine that's all that would happen.

Anyone else with opinions on the semi-permanent options???

A friend of a friend was a model that had eyeliner tattood. It apparently fades over time and lasts about 10-15 years. (Not sure if that is true but something to ask about) So maybe it won't look too bad when you get old since it goes away over time.
Oh, well, clearly you're not thoroughly indoctrinated to COTH yet, because finger pointing and drawing conclusions are the cornerstones of this great online community. (Tidy Rabbit)

Urban Decay eyeliners are a little pricey ($18/stick) but they do last all day! Tons of gorgeous colors too

I do not wear makeup often, but when I do I prefer Chanel products. I used Clinique for many, many years, but I have found the Chanel stuff has that staying power you are talking about. It certainly is not cheap though.
