Summer's comming: brand name vs generic
I'm seriously considering getting one of those cooling vests. It's sweltering here in TX already. My question is to those of you that have had these vests for several years. There is a significant price difference between the Cool Medics and the more generic one. But I had one friend that had a generic one and it only really worked well for one year. Have others had that similar experience with these vests? Are they really only good for about a year's use? Do the Cool Medics last significantly longer? ie is it worth the difference between the two costs? Thank you in advance.

I've had my Cool Medics for several years, and it's held up well. I bought my husband a generic one last summer (from VTO - can't remember the brand). It worked well, but showed noticeable wear after a few washings. It's only been a year, so I can't comment on long-term durability...
