Default Cost to alter tall boots?

I have freakish legs. It is utterly impossible to buy off-the-rack tall boots. Horseloverz is having a crazy sale on boots, and I could get tall boots in the correct foot size quite cheap (around $50). I'm wondering how much it would cost to have them shortened and made wider/add a zipper. Would it be worth a shot?

I've been looking at the site on and off all day - pondering the same thing. Called my local saddle shop (that does really nice leather repair) and the price to put zippers in is $75/boot . . . I think I'll keep looking.

I to have freakish legs, that don't match either, so buying tall boots is a nightmare. I bought a nice pair of Effinghams on Ebay, that are actually TO BIG in the calf (I never knew such a thing existed) my local boot repair guy is going to take them in and stretch the foot a little, it will cost me around $60 for the pair.

I'm going to end up with a pair of custom fit boots for around $150 and I'm so excited at the thought of having a pair of boots that fit. No more cramming the gammy leg into my boots first thing because it's the only time that they will actually do up.
