If we can ever get her balanced she WILL be nice but ugh! It's partly getting DD trained, as well - she wants the challenge but marsie goes well for me and for her trainer (and is gentle enough and doesn't do anything stupid) but tends to rush and get on her forehand with DD. So it'll be a lot of work to get them together...
But that's all the fun part, the learning, growing and improving, don't you think?

Just because I can...it being a thread about perch/tb's and all...I'll add a couple of pictures of my heart-horse who is no longer with us.

Just to show that they can clean up pretty good....

The day I bought him from an auction. Previously, he'd pulled a cart for a Mennonite family...

    After a couple of weeks..

And, 8 weeks later, at his first show!

But, be careful! They are smart! Echo knows the treats are in here and opened the bucket with his lips!

Have fun with your perch/TB and treasure her!

Default Wow! Percheron crosses are usually "white killers" - lots of chrome!

Most Percheron crosses are 'white killers'...they suppress white markings. And they are usually dark bay (it's wierd, but most Perch/TBs I've seen and know are solid dark bay!!?)

Your horse looks like a Clyde or Shire cross with all that chrome and CHESTNUT too? Wow ...very unusual for a Percheron Cross.

    GORGEOUS

Here's my friend jumping her "typical Perch/TB". She events him at Training but he's run Prelim a few times, too:

If you are talking about our mare - she IS a clyde cross - in fact clyde/hanoverian . I think I mentioned that in the first post but it got lost. Very perceptive of you! I don't personally know any perch/tb crosses (although we do have a full perch at our barn)

This mare arrived. I've had a chance to see her gaits in the pasture. She is not what I expected. She has very nice gaits, and a lot of suspension. I'm very pleased with her, and very, very surprised.

I'll try to do that. I was going to take a video today, but got caught up in watching her and forgot. She also needs a bit of a makeover. However, she seems more than willing to pose!
