Default Mare Stare - right now!

Just thought I'd share a link of a mare who's in active labour. Poor girl is having a rough go of it, we're already an hour and a half in. Jingles to her that it gets easier from here!

Oh my! When do you call the vet?? Looks like she is really having a hard time.

Oops, maybe the person in plaid is a vet? Hope so!

The guy in the plaid shirt showed up part way through. Not sure if he's a vet or just the cavalry, but he just stuck the mare with something, and has been the one with the arm-length plastic glove on.

I have no experience with breeding - what would he have given her?

After my mare's dystocia last week this is hitting a little too close to home. I hope their outcome is as good as mine. Jingles.

Oh man. He was really digging around in there. My knowledge of this is quite limited, so does anyone have any ideas what could be happening? Could he possibly be trying to turn the foal?

I am afraid that is a fetotomy saw. Surely they will cut the cam now.

Either turning the foal or rearranging a limb or head to get it positioned correctly or just plum trying to find the foal. My knowledge is limited as well but I too am jingling like crazy as she looks to be very worried and the longer this goes the more tired she's getting. I also keep wanting to tie his damn apron thing correctly so he has a bit more freedom of movement!

More likely just an obstetrical chain.

Unhappy Oh no! I was watching this mare last night/this morning

I was watching off and on during the early morning hours today. The mare would be pawing, go down, roll, lay quiet for a while.... never saw her push. Last looked in on her about 11 a.m.

Just checking in and see someone is working on her.

This has got to be the worst I have seen.
