    Default rider exercise

    I thought I saw something about specific rider exercises but couldn't find the thread, perhaps the replys were inside a related thread.

    Anyway, I am wondering what specific exercises you do for strengthening your riding position?

    In "Yoga for Equestrians" by Linda Benedik & Veronica Wirth you will find plenty of exercises and VERY useful tips. I also LOVE both "Centered Riding" books (Sally Swift) - but those should be in the library of every rider anyway
    I make sure every single one of my students (regardless of level) warms up with said exercises in the first 5-10 minutes of their lesson...
    Maybe you also want to ask your instructor if he/she would teach you through proper gymnastics on the horse to become a stronger/better rider? Good luck
