Man, that would be an appetizing match up. I can't think of a sprinter in Europe that would give Black Caviar a run for her money. But that speed machine The Factor certainly could. His pedigree, both top and bottom, suggests he should act well on grass.... of course you never know till you try it, but he has won on synthetics, which might be an indicator. He is an animal at 7f, which should translate well to Ascot's stiff 6f straight course. C'mon Baffert, don't be so conservative.

Australia arguably has the worlds best sprinters. Black Caviar has nothing to prove. She is that much better, and has lengths on most all-time past sprinting champions, let alone the ones going around now..

I would just like to see her run one time when I can be in the stands and clap and scream.

Its looking more and more likely that she will be coming to ADELAIDE! WOOOT! April 28 for the Sangster ( i think ..drawing a blank). Moody should be annoucing in the next couple days what the plans are.

As of right now, she is out in the paddock in an undisclosed location for a break.

Telegraph (UK) March 25, 2012 "If Black Caviar is as good as she looks she could steal Frankel's thunder"

She has just returned to her stable after a break and the next start is not yet determined. However it looks like a trip to England is still part of the plan.

Some mega loot being extended for a match-up in England and could overshadow the Olympics

Sporting Life Apr 5, 2012: "Caviar Team Not Ruling Out Sussex"

Australian sensation Black Caviar is only likely to run in the Qipco Sussex Stakes if connections feel it is the right thing to do with the unbeaten mare, regardless of a £1million carrot being dangled for a clash with Frankel.

The big-race sponsors have pledged to up the prize-money for the Group One mile event from its current £300,000 - if Frankel and Black Caviar, the world's top two horses, turn up at Glorious Goodwood on August 1.
Coral have installed Frankel as 1-2 favourite in a match bet with Black Caviar (6-4) should they run in the Sussex.

"There isn't a racing fan on the planet who isn't excited by the prospect of these two equine superstars clashing this summer, and in pricing the race up we just favour our own star Frankel over Black Caviar should they meet at Goodwood," said Simon Clare, Coral spokesman.

"Timing-wise a clash between Frankel and Black Caviar in the Sussex Stakes would coincide with the Olympics and the considerable novelty factor of this heavyweight clash could attract even greater attention from sports fans and media at a time when their eyes are firmly focused on Britain."

Guess who gets to go and see Black Caviar run on April 28th???? Oh wait that would be me!

Peter Moody has confirmed that she will be coming to Adelaide for 2 group 1 races. First being on the 28th and the next on May 12th.

Can't wait! Also sounds like the farm will have a couple other runners on that day as well which is what we were originally going to see but this is a huge bonus!

A cited elsewhere - Frankel was slightly injured in a work and it has resulted in the connections nixing his first planned race. Will it derail any chance of a Black Caviar match up at Royal Ascot? Maybe.

BBC 4-13-12 "Frankel 'very unlikely' to run at Newbury after sustaining leg injury"

Grimthorpe told At The Races: "It'd be too early to rule him out of Ascot [but] Newbury would be very unlikely."

Her plans have been presented: two races in Oz then off to Royal Ascot:

Black Caviar would run in the A$400,000 Group 1 Sportingbet Classic over 6f at Morphettville in Adelaide. [Which is for fillies and mares only and under weight-for-age conditions.]

She would then go to the A$500,000 Goodwood, also run at Morphettville two weeks later on May 12, after which she will go to England for the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 23.

"Adelaide is the right option - she's got two short trips on the truck to get there and she'll come straight home after the first one.

"It gives her a three-week window before she heads overseas. It'll be late May, early June, we just want to keep her here as longas possible."

A win in the Sportingbet Classic would take Black Caviar one win beyond the Australasian record for consecutive metropolitan wins she currently shares with Gloaming and Desert Gold.
Per another report on her weight: Tipping the scales at 600kg and, at that mark, one of the heaviest thoroughbreds in training, Black Caviar is about 20kg off her optimum racing weight (580kg). 600Kg = 1,323 pounds!

Well slight change of plans I won't be getting to the races on saturday but WILL be going on May 12th !!

Due to lots of staff coming and going this week and the lack of tickets available we had to divid and conquer! lol

Adelaide is totally 100% sold out of all member pass, public etc all 30-35K tickets! Rumor is that we out sold Caulfield in Melbourne Hoping co-workers will take some pics for me / us.

While I assume that TVG (here in the States) will be airing Black Caviar's next race I couldn't find it on the programming guide.

From the Herald Sun - "Black Caviar white-hot favourite to win at Morphetville"

t seems only bad luck can beat Black Caviar when she races for history as:

    SHE tries to maintain her unbeaten record and break the record for most consecutive wins held by Desert Gold and Gloaming since 1921;

    SHE is set to become only the second mare to win at least 10 Group 1 races after Sunline (13 majors);

SHE will start from barrier three against only nine rivals with Lone Rock next in betting at $16; and

ALL remaining tickets for a capacity 30,000 crowd at Morphettville were sold yesterday.
Her- and the other international invaders - entry for Royal Ascot was revealed Wed (4-25)

From a TVG tweet Wed 4-25

Black Caviar draws post 3 of 10 for Sportingbet Classic at Morphettville; Post Time - 11:22pm PT, Friday night on TVG!
So for those of us east of the west coast that means set your DVR's now to see the gal for her 20th consecutive victory!

She runs in an hour!!! It is a beautiful day down in Adelaide. Was there briefly early this am to drop off co-workers at the airport. Bosses and co-workers are down there now having a blast and I'm at the farm working but will be watching it on tv.

    Can't wait!

Oh Yay and that is the way it's done!

    Black Caviar - Nelly

So wish I had been there to see it. Can't even imagine the atmosphere there.

On a side note, the mares are kicking some serious butt here today! Atlantic Jewel took out the All Ages Stakes ( Group 1- her 2nd and unbeaten in 7 races) Atlantic Jewel.

With More Joyous taking the Queen Elizabeth Stakes. More Joyous

Angel of Mercy won the James H B Carr Stakes in Sydney. I have connections to this filly so super happy to see her doing so well! Angel of Mercy

Polydor - thanks for the link! I love how she wins - her jockey doesn't even have to ask her - still has a hold on her at the head of the stretch and she does it herself. Not even sure why he's waving the bat at her!

Would give anything to be in SA and watch her next one. It's so beautiful there. Was lucky enough to take a caravan (RV) to the Flinders Ranges, and they are gorgeous.

Hope you can make it away from the barn next time, but at least you're in the vicinity. Must be awesome to be living in Australia about now, with a mare like Black Caviar, and people who "get it"!

Video replay: Black Caviar's start/win #20 April 28, 2012 - A$400,000 Group 1 Sportingbet Classic at Morphettville in Adelaide, AU.

Almost too easy! Barely a tap to keep her focused on business and not the 30,000+ with cheering fans 20-persons deep watching her.
