Default Dog got into MTG, now seems VERY tired

First, yes I have called the vet, I have an appt in about an hour.

Draco, the dog, got into a little MTG (mane tail groom) this morning, I didn't think anything of it since I have used it on him. Yes I immediatly cleaned it up and put the bottle away.

Four and a half hours later, he is alert/responsive but having trouble keeping his eyes open. When I check inside the eyelid the flesh is darker than normal and swollen. He also has oilyness around his anus.

Ingrediants are mineral oil, sulfur, zinc stearate, glycerin, cade oil (rectified)

Is this an allergic reaction???? Nothing like this happened when I used it on him.

    TIA

Actually already left. The vet was only concerned about the zinc, said otherwise it would just act as a laxative, which it has. The vet gave Dra Benadryl & steriods just to be sure.

MTG says on the bottle that its not toxic, I was more concerned with allergic reactions. I will keep that site on hand tho thanx.

My biggest problem now are the dog's farts. Man do they STINK!!!!!!!

Glad he's been seen and is being watched. Hope it is an uneventful recovery.

I was going to say, only a dog would think of that stuff as edible. Glad he's doing OK, and hope the only damage is to the air quality in your house!
