Default Hosting My first clinic Help

Im hosting my first dressage clinic with Tom Poulin on easter weekend, I have been asked if we are having a dinner with Tom and the clinic attendees , do you have this at a resturant? the farm/ .

If we have it at a resturant how do we split the bill , each their own split it ?

We are suppling a daily lunch and snacks for auditors and riders
    is that enough?

The clinics I have attended also had an optional dinner at a local resteraunt.
Everyone paid their own tab plus extra for the clinician.

Actually I would prefer a nice dinner at the farm if a good space was available. speaking as a rider of course

When we host clinicians we take them to dinner Saturday night at a restaurant with good food and good service (not necessarily fancy, but nice). Any clinic riders who want to join us are welcome, and everyone pays his or her portion of the bill. The farm pays for the clinician's meal that night, but the cost really has been included in the clinic fee; depending on how many people are riding, usually about $5 per ride is plenty.

Some clinicians like some down time away from the riders. I would suggest you discuss it with the clinician before making arrangements.

Tom Poulin is fantastic! If you can organize a time for everyone to chat with him over dinner, he will be great! If not, then lunch time networking is usually enough. Sometimes just the clinic organizer will take the clinician to dinner. I think it is one of those things that is completely up to you.

I have ridden with Tom at several clinics where I board. I always look forward to the Saturday night dinner out. Tom enjoys the company of his students.
