It only takes a moment of your time! The National Horseman (a Saddlebred magazine) is having their annual Best Photo of the Year contest, and by sweet Doodad, the 2010 Hunter World Champion Good Deal! You might remember him as the very same "Pupster" you all jingled for over the winter of 2008/2009 to recover from vegetative endocarditis. He is in the running as the subject of the best photo of 2010!
We are photo #2, taken by Terry Young at last year's Tanbark show in St. Paul, MN at the end of June. Some context to the photo - obviously we were in the lineup, and you might think we'd just been announced as the winners. We did win the class, unanimously, but that hadn't been announced yet. I just thought he had been absolutely, completely perfect during the class and I was thrilled. So I was hugging him and telling him how wonderful he was He likes that
I voted, too! When our oldest daughter was maybe 4, she & our ASB were horse of the month - she's now 38. It was a pic of her sitting on a creek bank holding him as he was standing in the creek. It showed up later in a calendar of horse of the month photos, too.
