    Default Waterproofing Blankets

When and how often are you suppose to water proof blankets?

I have a couple of blankets that are about 3yrs old. Still in really great shape but I was wondering how long the waterproofing lasts?

Every time you wash you should probably rewaterproof.
Walmart carries a silicone waterproofing that works well and is very inexpensive. Comes in an orange top spray can in the camping section.

Spray it with your blanket flat on the ground-wastes less spray that way

I second macmtn. I rewaterproof every spring after they are cleaned and the orange topped cans from walmart are definitely the best!

Thanks! Looks like I'll be making a trip to Walmart!
