Unhappy Good Bye Tobias, I love you! *pics added*

Tobias my heart can not cry for you more,
I know where your'e at you'll no longer be sore.
Playing and running and bucking of course,
Enjoy your new home, for a special horse!

I will miss you so much, but remember the years,
We jumped, and we trained, and shed a few tears.
I know God has a plan for me from now on,
While you live and relax, every night and dawn.

God Please give me strength to trust you more now,
I know Tobias is safe, I can stop worrying now.
I know this trial will help me grow stronger,
In You my Lord, I will grow so much closer.

I will soon go and visit, Tobias this year,
So I can hug his great shoulder and shed some more tears.
To give him another strawberry Pop Tart,
He will always and forever, be near to my heart!

Tobias went up north a bit to his new home where a wonderful family adopted him so he could get all the attention he needs, and pastures to roam. It happened too quick, but the trailer was in my area heading back up so I had to decide to let him go to this dream home, or miss out.

It wasn't easy, but I knew I was doing this for Tobias, for his navicular, he needed to be able to move more, and get some attention. He trailered well for the almost 10hr drive, and has now met new friends and gets to be a pasture puff!

I miss him greatly, but his new mommy is staying in touch with me with pictures from his first day, on FB. I am truly blessed to have found him such a good home.

I thank you all for all the help you have given me in that past with Tobias, and encouragement when I was down.

I say all this with tears welling up in my eyes, I feel like a big chunk of my heart just moved 10 hrs away. But I know now he will have a good retirement.

Good Bye Tobias, I love you SO much!

I meant to add pictures last night, but forgot. These were taken on his last day. I Miss him so much!

Sometimes it hurts so much to do the right thing. Bless you for letting him go, and the new caretakers of Tobias for being there.

Big hug from Atlanta - it sucks when doing the right thing hurts so much.

Sorry about the confusion...I thought you put him down, and then when I read you would be seeing him, I really freaked out.
Guess I am in a death mode...lost a dog this week, and my old school master the week before.

Letting go is hard, but you still have a lifeline on him.

Default when I saw this it melted me.

My horse is called Tobias, and no horse in my life could make me sad or happy like the Tobias I have. Right now I am fight ing with an unknown something that has messed with all of his bloodcounts. It is so hard on me, so I feel for you. This horse has let me win when I probaly didn't deserve it , but I would lean down to him before major classics and ask please and he would. SO this name means so much to me too, for he won adult jumper for MI and put me in the Chronicle this year , which probaly will neve happen again , but I will always be thankful!! I feel for you and you are a great person for putting yours first.

Your horse was called Tobias too? That's really neat, it's seems to be such a unique name, I have only ever heard of it in a book series.

I will be praying for you and your Tobias, Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Thank you all again! I am doing better, I thought I would be so depressed, but I think the relief, of knowing he is in better care now than what I could give him, over powers the sorrow.

My family goes on a camping trip with my church in the summer time, and we go up in that area, so I will be able to swing by and see him. Boy am I counting down the days!

I'm very sorry, saying goodbye is incredibly hard. Good for you doing the right thing. I'm sure he'll be thanking you for letting him go to lounge around and have fun!
