Looking for "Hershey" QH sold in Myrtle Beach area
Hi, I'm looking for a horse I used to own. I sold him in 2008, thinking I'd get him back if his new owner ever decided to sell him (right of first refusal in contract). He was sold and I found out afterwards. His seller will not share any info about the location or who he was sold to. I am looking for him just to make sure he's happy and healthy. He's a 1998, 15.3 AQHA registered gelding. Red Bay, no white except a few white hairs on his forehead and withers. Built downhill, so not super athletic, but he's very sweet and very sensitive. He's a true "in your pocket" type of horse. Does anyone here live in the myrtle beach area and know what I could do to try to find his new owner? I live about 11 hours away from myrtle beach. If anybody has any ideas or if you've heard of this horse or seen him, could you let me know? Thanks!
I am still searching for Hershey (Reg AQHA "Hershey Basket") sold by woman who used to run Forrest Grove Stables in Leesburg, VA. He was sold while she was in the process of moving from SC back to the So. MD/ Fredericksburg, Va area. I had a right of first refusal in the sale contract but I didn't find out he was for sale until he was already sold. If you've heard of or seent his horse, please contact me. Here's a link to a craigslist Ad with information and pictures I've posted: Hershey's Ad
As of August, 2011, Hershey had been acquired by the Sheriff's Office Animal Services Unit in New Hanover County in North Carolina. He was in horrible condition - emaciated, feet very long, etc. Neglected. He was adopted/taken, and then sold in 2011. He was then given to Horses for Hope in Raleigh, NC (a therapeutic riding center). He was at Horses for Hope for 2 months before coming up lame. He was then adopted/given to someone who volunteered at the therapeutic riding center. This is where he was as of September/October 2011. If anybody reads this and happens to know any more about "Max" aka "Hershey", please reply to this or PM me. Thanks.
Chestnut mares aren't evil or crazy... they just see you as their partner instead of their master. I know because I am owned by one.
